Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 24, 2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how MY FRONT YARD ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit https://myfrontyardhoa.com (the "Site"). It describes what these technologies are, why we use them, the choices you have, and your rights — including specific rights for California residents.

This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use personal information more broadly.

By using the Site, you consent to the use of cookies as described in this policy, except for cookies that require your prior consent where applicable. You can manage your preferences at any time (see Section 7).

---

2. What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them more efficient, and to provide reporting information to site owners.

We also use similar technologies that function like cookies, including:

  • Pixels / web beacons — tiny graphics embedded in pages or emails that record whether content was viewed.
  • Local storage — data stored in your browser (for example, to remember preferences) that is not a traditional cookie.
  • Software development kits (SDKs) and tags used by analytics and advertising providers.

Throughout this policy, we use the word "cookies" to refer to all of these technologies.

Cookies may be:

  • First-party — set by us, on our Site's domain.
  • Third-party — set by another company (for example, an analytics or advertising provider) whose technology runs on our Site.
  • Session cookies — temporary; deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies — remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.

---

3. Why we use cookies

We use cookies to:

  • Operate the Site and keep it secure;
  • Remember your settings and preferences;
  • Understand how visitors find and use the Site so we can improve it;
  • Measure the performance of our marketing and show relevant content and advertising.

---

4. Categories of cookies we use

We group cookies into four categories. The specific cookies in each category, and how long they last, depend on the tools we use; representative examples are shown below. Update these tables to reflect your actual providers.

4.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the Site to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually set in response to actions you take, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in, or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block them, but some parts of the Site may not work. These cookies do not require consent.

| Cookie / provider | Purpose | Type | Duration | |---|---|---|---| | Session ID | Maintains your session and basic Site functionality | First-party | Session | | Security / load balancing | Protects against fraud and distributes traffic | First-party | Session | | Consent preferences | Remembers your cookie choices | First-party | Up to 12 months |

4.2 Functional / preference cookies

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization, such as remembering your region, language, or video playback preferences. If you do not allow them, some features may not work properly.

| Cookie / provider | Purpose | Type | Duration | |---|---|---|---| | Preference settings | Remembers language, region, or display choices | First-party | Up to 12 months | | Video player (e.g., embedded demo videos) | Remembers playback/volume settings | First- or third-party | Session – 12 months |

4.3 Analytics / performance cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Site by collecting and reporting information anonymously or pseudonymously — for example, which pages are most visited and whether visitors encounter errors. This helps us improve the Site.

| Cookie / provider | Purpose | Type | Duration | |---|---|---|---| | Google Analytics (`_ga`, `_gid`, `_ga_*`) | Measures traffic, pages viewed, and general usage trends | Third-party | Session – 24 months |

4.4 Marketing / advertising cookies

These cookies are set by us or our advertising partners to build a profile of your interests, measure the effectiveness of our campaigns, and show you relevant ads on this and other sites (sometimes called "cross-context behavioral advertising" or "targeted advertising"). They may share information with third parties for these purposes.

| Cookie / provider | Purpose | Type | Duration | |---|---|---|---| | Google Ads / `gclid` | Measures ad clicks and conversions; retargeting | Third-party | Session – 12 months | | Meta (Facebook) Pixel (`_fbp`) | Measures campaign performance; retargeting | Third-party | Up to 3 months |

> Important for California residents: Our use of marketing/advertising cookies may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under California law. See Section 8 for your rights and how to opt out.

---

5. Third-party cookies and services

Some cookies are placed by third parties that provide services to us, such as analytics and advertising platforms. We do not control these cookies, and their use is governed by the third party's own privacy and cookie policies. Common providers we may use include:

  • Google (Analytics, Ads) — see Google's privacy policy and the Google Analytics opt-out at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
  • Meta Platforms (Facebook/Instagram advertising) — see Meta's data policy and ad settings

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these providers to understand how they use your information.

---

6. How long do cookies stay on my device?

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for the duration shown in the tables above, or until you delete them. You can delete cookies at any time through your browser settings (see Section 7).

---

7. Your choices: managing cookies

You have several ways to control or limit cookies:

Cookie banner / preference center. When you first visit the Site, you can accept or reject non-essential cookies through our cookie banner. You can change your choices at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the Site footer. (Remove this paragraph if your Site does not use a consent banner.)

Browser controls. Most browsers let you view, manage, block, or delete cookies through their settings. Helpful links:

Blocking all cookies may affect how the Site works.

Advertising opt-outs. To opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies, visit:

  • Network Advertising Initiative: https://optout.networkadvertising.org
  • Your Online Choices (EU): https://www.youronlinechoices.eu

Global Privacy Control (GPC). We recognize the Global Privacy Control signal. If you enable GPC in a supported browser or extension, we will treat it as a request to opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information for that browser and device, as described in Section 8.

Do Not Track. Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. Because there is no common industry standard for how to respond to it, we do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals, but we do honor GPC as described above.

8. California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA"), provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information.

Cookies and "sale"/"sharing." Under California law, "sale" includes disclosing personal information to a third party for valuable consideration, and "sharing" includes disclosing it for cross-context behavioral advertising — even when no money changes hands. Our use of the marketing/advertising cookies described in Section 4.4 may constitute a sale or sharing of personal information. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age.

Your rights. Subject to certain exceptions, California residents have the right to:

  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information;
  • Know / access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, and disclose;
  • Delete personal information we have collected from you;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information; and
  • Non-discrimination — we will not deny services, charge a different price, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised your rights.

How to opt out of sale/sharing. You can opt out by:

1. Clicking the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our Site footer; (add this link if you use advertising cookies) 2. Adjusting your choices in our cookie banner / preference center; and/or 3. Enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, which we will honor as a valid opt-out request for that browser and device.

How to exercise your other rights. To submit a request to know, delete, correct, or limit, contact us using the details in Section 10. We will verify your request before responding, as required by law, and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

9. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law, or our practices. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
